Self-defence techniques

At the core of KSD's founding principles lies a dedication to providing comprehensive self-defence training for the youth.

Our youth programme is carefully crafted to impart practical life skills. This encompasses not only enhancing physical strength, fitness, and coordination but also developing discipline, mutual respect, and self-confidence.

Ultimately, through training, our aim is to empower young Jews who venture into the world with a sense of pride and have the ability to look after themselves.

Our youth programme syllabus combines teachings from 2 core martial arts disciplines:

Karate is a martial art that originated in Japan which combines physical techniques, mental focus, and character development. Your child will learn various strikes, kicks and blocks that promote strength, flexibility, and coordination. Moreover, Karate instills important values such as discipline and self-control.

Krav Maga

Krav Maga is a self-defence system predominantly used in Israel that focuses on practical techniques for real-life situations. It emphasises using instinctive movements and simple techniques, making it a popular system for self-protection.

Safety Standards

At KSD, safety takes precedence above all.

We use responsible instructional methods and provide protective training gear to ensure that injuries are prevented as much as possible.

Moreover, our instructors are First-Aid qualified to promptly address any unforeseen accidents. Your child's well-being is our utmost priority.
